TIBO Plus 3.1 Bluetooth active bookshelves speaker system will provide remarkable sound in multiple set-ups. Supported by 2 x 55W amplifier, 25mm soft dome and 135mm woofer are a unique design, the Plus 3.1 powered Bluetooth speakers also come with standard RCA and 3.5mm connections to connect just about any Hi-Fi source. For TVs, CD/DVD, game consoles, and Blu-ray players there is an optical digital input. Still not enough bass? Use the sub output to connect to a subwoofer. With built-in amplification, there’s no need for a separate amplifier. Containing a Class D digital amplifier, the Plus range is more than capable of filling a room with music. Simply plug the active speaker into the mains and connect the other, passive, speaker via conventional speaker cable. You can listen to music from just about any source – even via wireless Bluetooth using the TIBO Plus range. Simply pair the speakers with your Bluetooth enabled device and stream your music library, internet radio, or services like Spotify, TIDAL etc. at CD sound quality.

I like the sound from these speakers. The sound is revealing details that had been previously missing.
I do not like the remote. It is slow and clunky. I also do not like the fact that the speakers automatically switch off when there is no input. This means that if you want to use them with a smart system ( Google Home for example) they do not respond to smart voice commands until they have been switched on again.
This is a pair of speakers which could have been superb if a bit more thought had been applied in their design

Thanks for the review and thanks for buying TIBO. I am sorry that you have purchased the wrong product from us. The Tibo Plus range has never been build to be part of a smart audio set up. They are advertised as a pair of powered Bluetooth speakers. Smart speaker must be connected to WiFi in order to work with your Google set-up. From the TIBO range of products you can choose from Kameleon, Choros, Sphere and Vogue – they are all connected to WiFi and can be switched on and off etc. through the Tibo app. I suggest you get in contact with our support team, who will listen and understand your requirements, before making a purchase and in this instance – help you to get the correct TIBO product.

First of all, I apologize for my English; I live in Italy.
I needed to replace my old “made in china” philips 2.1 system for pc; looking on the net, among the many proposals, my eye fell on these TIBO 3.1 … looking at them in the image, the construction seemed good to me; interesting the different possibilities of connections on the back, but the thing that convinced me is the writing “designed and made in England” (I am passionate about music and Hi-fi for a long time ago, and I know well the quality of the ENGLISH products, especially loudspeakers). Buy from amazon, arrived after only 3 days. Once opened, the packaging seemed well made and in order; good supply of cables -which lacked the 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm “line” jack, which I made up for with mine already in possession. Easy enough installation – the hardest thing was connecting the two speakers with the supplied cable; if the terminals had been finished with the classic “banana-plug” it would have been easier and faster, but it’s something the user can do later. Now comes the best part: after listening to some tracks from my (vast) collection of 320Kbitrate mp3 files, the surprise was positively high: these “lilliput” loudspeakers play! And they sound great! Very good medium-high frequency details, low range at the same excellent level, more than good emission clarity, general impression of great power reserve by the class D amp. Note that I have not observed the manufacturer’s recommendations regarding the positioning (I have place them at 40cm high from the ground and leaning against the rear wall) despite this the sound that arrives is very good to me. It should not be forgotten that I am talking about an object with a very competitive cost, in fact at that selling price (110.00 € via amazon) these speakers are a REAL BIG BARGAIN! All my compliments to the design team who created this beautiful object which I am very satisfied with, for my needs.
