TIBO TI435DAB – DAB+ DAB FM Hi-Fi Stereo Tuner
The TIBO TI435 DAB+/FM Tuner has 9 presets that are clearly accessible. The large display is equally clear and informative. To select stations the simple twist and push rotary knob makes it intuitive to use. The simple, logical button layout makes for a design that’s clean and easy on the eye. Given its budget price, the TIBO TI435 DAB+/FM Tuner is exceptionally well built. The aluminium casing is solid and fronted by a metal facial panel that you’d usually only see on much more expensive tuners.
With both DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting plus) and FM tuners onboard, the TIBO TI435 DAB+/FM Tuner is ideally equipped for listening to a wide range of stations. Select DAB+ and you’ll be able to listen to a vast range of digital radio stations, including the popular BBC 6 music, 4 Extra and 5 live. DAB+ also lets you hear crisp, digital clarity of sound, free from interference. For local stations or a more expansive sound with national stations then FM is also on hand. A handy remote control is also part of the package.

VERY, VERY PLEASED.
Great value…. I really like this Tuner and its easy to use and Tune and store the stations. This is a superb piece of kit build quality is excellent with its solid metal case nice brushed aluminium front panel clear display my best tip to get the very best out of this tuner Is by using a loft or outdoor aerial with at least 3 elements instead of the supplied wire loop indoor aerial .

It’s a great receiver in all but one respect, it can only handle 100 DAB stations, and if you happen to live in a high spot with good VHF reception or use an external aerial, you can easily end up with insufficient capacity to receive some of the higher MUXs. I eventually had to get a directional beam aerial to reduce some of the unwanted ones so I could receive some of the locals. It’s just a shame that the upper limit on the number of stations isn’t higher, as I would probably have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Overall really pleased with the quality and ease of use, however it’s main drawback is the number of DAB stations that can be stored. The tuner will only store a maximum of 100 stations which is a major issue where I live as I can typically receive multiple DAB multiplexes. The tuner will auto tune from the lowest to highest frequencies which means it misses the BBC and D1 multiplexes once the number of received stations hits 100. It is possible to manually tune DAB stations, but this is a pain. I have never experienced a DAB radio that limits the number of received stations, so never expected this to be an issue with the Tibo.
